Master classes of Kazakhstan partner universities at Uzbekistan HEIs within NICOPA project

At the beginning of November 2022 participants of EU Erasmus+ NICoPA project 597985-EPP-1-2018-1-KZ-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “New and innovative courses for precision agriculture” from M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University visited partner universities of Uzbekistan: M.Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, Muhammad Al- Khwarizmi Tashkent University of Information Technology, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers and Tashkent State Agrarian University.

The purpose of the visit was to conduct lectures and master classes in the field of: digital services in agriculture, the development of resource-saving technologies for restoring pasture lands, increasing soil fertility, the introduction of innovative weather modeling systems with the development of applied tools for economic sectors and the implementation of thematic processing of scenes of shooting the underlying surface using GIS technologies. The online guest lectures were attended by partners of the Agrotechnology Faculty of the company providing digital services to agricultural formations of Kazakhstan: Egistic, Cropwise Operations Syngenta, Climate Center.

The next purpose of the visit was exchange of experience in academic and scientific activities. On November 2, 2022, the delegation consisting of the dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Altyn Shayakhmetova, the head of the Department of Physics, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Sergei Sartin and senior lecturer of the Department of Agronomy and Forestry Marat Akhmetov visited the biological faculty of M.Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. Guests are were invited from the interdisciplinary laboratory of molecular biology named after Professor Aziz Sanjar at the Faculty of Biology, G.hirsutum L. species was represented by the genetic and cytogenetic collection, the Zoology Museum, the Agroecobiotechnology Center, and joint laboratories of China and Uzbekistan.

Dean T. Abdrakhmanov discussed issues of exchange in educational and scientific activities, development and implementation of international cooperation within the framework of academic exchange of professors and teachers, qualifying practice, scientific internships for doctoral students, teachers, lectures and master classes.
